What’s New in Intune – March 2025 | Service Release (2503)

Summary of New Features

Endpoint Privilege Manager Support for ARM 64-bit Devices (Windows)

  • Intune's Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM) now extends its capabilities to manage file elevations on devices running ARM 64-bit architecture.

New Settings in the Apple Settings Catalog (iOS / MacOS)

  • Intune's Settings Catalog has been enriched with additional configurations for iOS/iPadOS and macOS platforms. Notably:

    • iOS/iPadOS: Apple Intelligence Report, Default Calling App Modification, Default Messaging App Modification, Mail Smart Replies, Notes Transcription, Allow Safari Summary

    • macOS: Remote Desktop, Allow Apple Intelligence Report, Allow Mail Smart Replies, Allow Notes Transcription, Allow Safari Summary

Enhanced Windows LAPS Policy Settings (Windows)

  • The Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) within Intune has been updated with new settings and enhancements to existing ones, offering more granular control over local administrator accounts. Note, some LAPS settings required Windows 11 24H2.

  • With the growing adoption of ARM-based devices, especially in mobile and lightweight computing environments, this update ensures that MSPs and enterprises can maintain consistent security protocols across diverse device architectures.   • The introduction of new settings for iOS/iPadOS and macOS devices empowers organizations to tailor device configurations more precisely. Features like allowing default app modifications and enabling smart replies in mail enhance user experience while maintaining organizational compliance.
✅Advanced Windows LAPS Policy Controls (Windows)

  • The new and updated settings in Windows LAPS policies provide IT administrators with enhanced capabilities to secure local administrator accounts.
